Life Down Under

Well, we are home safe and sound in Moscow. After just about exactly 30 hours of travel, we all arrived here at my parents around 1:00am last night after our second December 18th. Travel was uneventful, as we like it, other than Mike's succession of delays. In Auckland he was delayed 1 1/2 hrs to start the trip because the plane they were supposed to board had been struck by lightening on it's last journey, yeesh. After that he had a terribly long wait at LAX while they rearranged him to find him a way home (having missed all connections long since). But he only arrived a couple hours later than scheduled and so we had dinner waiting for him in the car. (I got in 3 hrs before he did and I went with Mom and Dad to get food--I was starving!) And this morning we are just doing much needed laundry, hee hee, pity the poor baggage searchers when they opened our nasty Fiji-damp smelly clothes!!!

And now we are getting into Christmas mode since the weather (although the snow they had a week ago has since melted), and darkness, and the twinkly lights everywhere are more suitable. Love the southern hemisphere but Christmas is just not right down there no matter when they say. So for the moment, that's all that's up with us. Merry merry merry Christmas to all of you.
